Domaine des Bosquets 2013 Gigondas
70% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 5% Mourvedre, 5% Cinsault | Alc: 15% – Smooth and Supple, Big
Southern Rhone, France

Winemaker’s notes:
Dom. des Bosquets 2013 Gigondas is very dark, almost black in color with a complex nose of both red and black fruit, sweet licorice and violets. On the palate this full bodied wine displays great balance between its richness, freshness and minerality. Its fine tannins make this a wine both for drinking now and for developing with age.

Critical Acclaim:
“The classic Gigondas is nothing to sneeze at in 2013. A blend of 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah and the rest Mourvedre and Cinsault, it has beautiful ripeness in its blackberry and black raspberry fruits, ground herbs, red licorice and spice-driven bouquet. Medium to full-bodied, with sweet, ripe tannin, it has impressive mid-palate depth and should end up being an outstanding effort.
This superb estate covers 26 hectare and is run by the talented Julien Brechet (Julien’s brother, Laurent, is in charge of Chateau Vaudieu). Philippe Cambie also consults here and the wines have beautiful polish and elegance while not losing their Gigondas soul”

“Intense, with very pure focused raspberry, boysenberry and blueberry fruit flavors that pump along while a racy graphite note bolts down the finish. Alluring spice and black tea accents hang in the background. The finish features subtle, latent grip. Rock-solid. Best from 2016 through 2021” 91 Pts – Wine Spectator
