Bordeaux · First Growths
Pauillac · Premier Grand Cru Classé · 2009
Château Latour 2009
The most cellar-worthy wine in Bordeaux. In one of Bordeaux’s greatest vintages. Currently unavailable almost everywhere.
Latour is Bordeaux’s most serious house, and the 2009 vintage gave it everything it needed to make something genuinely historic. An extraordinary concentration of Cabernet Sauvignon from some of the finest gravelly soils on the Left Bank — iron, cedar, blackcurrant, tobacco and a structural depth that will still be evolving in 2050. This is a wine that does not ask for your patience. It demands it, and it will repay it in ways that are difficult to put into words and very easy to understand once you open it. A once-in-a-collection bottle. We have one.

Saint-Émilion · Premier Grand Cru Classé A · 2016
Château Cheval-Blanc 2016
The Right Bank’s most beguiling wine. A 2016 that critics ran out of superlatives for.
Cheval-Blanc occupies a singular position in Bordeaux — a Pomerol soul in Saint-Émilion clothing, dominated by Cabernet Franc in a way that produces something entirely unlike any other First Growth. The 2016 is widely considered one of the finest Cheval-Blancs in recent memory: aromatic, precise, silky and deeply complex, with violets, black cherry, graphite and a seamless texture that makes you wonder how something this complete can possibly still be improving. It is. Give it a decade. Or open it now and accept the consequences — which are entirely pleasant.

Australia · Penfolds Grange
Penfolds Grange is Australia’s most celebrated wine and one of the world’s great Shiraz benchmarks — a wine so important that it is listed on the South Australian Heritage Register. Created by Max Schubert in 1951 against the explicit instructions of Penfolds’ board, who ordered production stopped, then continued quietly in secret. The board eventually tasted a vertical. They reversed their decision immediately. These three consecutive vintages represent Grange at the height of its recent powers.
Barossa Valley · Shiraz · 2014
Penfolds Grange 2014
Rated 99 points. The 2014 that silenced the doubters.
A cooler vintage produced a Grange of remarkable elegance and restraint by its own extraordinary standards — blue and black fruit, mocha, dark chocolate and a precision that sets it apart from the more opulent 2015 and 2016. The one for the purist. At peak drinking now and for the next two decades.

Barossa Valley · Shiraz · 2015
Penfolds Grange 2015
100 points. Widely considered a modern Grange legend.
The 2015 received perfect scores from multiple critics and is regularly cited as one of the greatest Granges ever produced. Rich, opulent and magnificently structured — dark fruit, licorice, coffee, dark chocolate and a tannin architecture built for the very long haul. The trophy of the three. Cellar until 2030 at minimum.

Barossa Valley · Shiraz · 2016
Penfolds Grange 2016
The third act of a remarkable consecutive run.
Three consecutive great Granges is not an accident — it is a combination of exceptional raw material and one of the world’s most skilled winemaking teams. The 2016 is the most approachable of the trio right now, with generous dark fruit and spice forward on the nose, and a structural depth that makes clear it has barely started. Open it first if you’re drinking all three.

Châteauneuf-du-Pape · Exceptional Formats
Châteauneuf-du-Pape · Grenache blend · 2018 · Double Magnum 3L
Vieux Télégraphe 2018 La Crau CdP Rouge 3L
The hedonist vintage. In a format that makes a statement before you even open it.
A double magnum of La Crau is not merely four times the wine of a standard bottle — it is a fundamentally different aging proposition. Larger formats age more slowly and more gracefully, meaning this 3L of the 2018 — already a wine of extraordinary density, dark fruit and velvety southern Rhône opulence — will continue developing long after its 750mL counterparts have peaked and faded. This is the bottle you bring to an occasion that needs no further justification, pour ceremoniously, and remember for the rest of your life. The 2018 vintage was the hedonist of the La Crau lineup: lush, opulent, irresistibly warm. In 3L, it is genuinely magnificent. There is exactly one of these.

Châteauneuf-du-Pape · Grenache · 2010 · Olivier Hillaire
Olivier Hillaire 2010 Les Petites Pieds d’Armand
The greatest Châteauneuf vintage of the modern era. From one of its most quietly revered producers.
Olivier Hillaire makes wine in quantities so small that most serious wine lovers have never encountered a bottle. Les Petites Pieds d’Armand — named for the tiny footprints left by the Grenache roots as they push through the famous galets roulés of La Crau — is his most celebrated cuvée, and the 2010 vintage gave it something extraordinary to work with. Fifteen years of bottle age has transformed its youthful power into a wine of immense complexity: iron, warm garrigue, dried cherry, leather, black olive and a finish that goes on long enough to make you reconsider your evening plans. This is what Châteauneuf looks like when the vintage, the producer and the terroir all align at once. It does not happen often. This is one of those times.

Champagne · Prestige Cuvée
Champagne · Chardonnay & Pinot Noir · 2012 · Louis Roederer
Roederer Cristal 2012 Brut
Created for a Tsar in 1876. Still the benchmark for prestige Champagne in 2026.
Louis Roederer created Cristal in 1876 at the specific request of Tsar Alexander II, who wanted his Champagne served in a clear crystal bottle so he could see no one had tampered with it. The paranoia was understandable. The wine that resulted was extraordinary. The 2012 vintage is considered one of the greatest Cristal releases in decades — a wine of astonishing precision, with a minerality that comes from Roederer’s own biodynamically farmed vineyards and a complexity that has been building quietly since harvest. Citrus blossom, white peach, brioche and a chalky finesse that makes most other Champagnes feel slightly approximate. The opening act for any occasion serious enough to deserve it.

Napa Valley · The Collector’s Piece
Napa Valley · Stags Leap District · Cabernet Sauvignon · 2014, 2015, 2016 · Presentation Box
Ulysses 2014, 2015 & 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Three-Vintage Vertical
Not mythical. But genuinely rare — and the kind of thing a serious Napa collector doesn’t often find pre-assembled.
We’ll be honest with you: Ulysses isn’t impossible to find if you know where to look. What is essentially impossible to find is a pre-assembled, boxed three-vintage vertical of three consecutive exceptional Napa vintages — 2014, 2015 and 2016 — ready to compare side by side. The collaboration between Cliff Lede and Francis Ford Coppola produced a serious, structured Stags Leap District Cabernet with real elegance and age-worthiness, and these three vintages represent the wine at the height of its recent powers. The 2014 is all refined dark fruit and fine-boned structure. The 2015 — one of Napa’s greatest recent vintages — is richer and more opulent. The 2016 bridges the two beautifully. Presented in its original box, this is the ideal gift for the Napa enthusiast in your life — or a genuinely illuminating evening for yourself. Three bottles that tell a story about how a great vineyard responds to three very different years.

Port · The Rarest Bottle in the Shop
Douro · Vintage Port · 2017 · Quinta do Noval Nacional · Gift Box
Quinta do Noval 2017 Vintage Port Nacional Gift Box
Pre-phylloxera ungrafted vines. Microscopic production. One of the rarest Ports made anywhere on earth.
This requires some explanation, because Nacional is genuinely unlike anything else in Port — or wine. While virtually every other vineyard in Europe was devastated by the phylloxera louse in the late 19th century and subsequently replanted on American rootstock, Quinta do Noval’s Nacional plot survived. A tiny parcel of 2.5 hectares on particularly inhospitable schist soils, its original ungrafted vines — producing Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Cao direct from their own roots — continue to produce wine of extraordinary concentration and complexity. Yields are minuscule. Production in most years is fewer than 250 cases worldwide. The wine is deeper, more complex and more concentrated than any other Port from the quinta, with an additional layer of minerality and character that simply does not exist in grafted vines. The 2017 Nacional is widely considered one of the finest in recent decades. It comes in a gift box because there is no other appropriate way to present something this rare. We have one.
