Pierre Gerbais L’Osmose Extra Brut Chardonnay NV
100% Chardonnay | Alc: 12% – Crisp & Dry
Champagne, France

Winemaker’s notes:
Gerbais L’Osmose Extra Brut comes from two Chardonnay plots: one south-facing, “the right way”, for its richness and the other facing north, “the wrong way,” for its freshness.
Blended from historical Chardonnay vines older than 50 years : “Les Côtes” and “Champ Viole” Vineyards rooted in Kimmeridgian soil, composed of marl and limestone, situated in the village of Celles-sur-Ource, in the heart of the Côte des Bar.

Critical Acclaim:
“Although not labeled as such, this is a blanc de blancs produced from two old-vine parcels of Chardonnay, one facing north, the other south. That in itself helps the balance of this dry wine. It is perfumed and crisp with a taut mineral texture that contrasts with the ripe apple and pink-grapefruit flavors. Drink now.”  94 Pts – Wine Enthusiast + Editors’ Choice

“The Osmose opens with an intense, ripe and pretty complex nose of ripe fruits. Full-bodied, fresh and firmly structured, this is another extraordinary food Champagne with a mix of ripe fruits and yeasty flavors. The finish is pure and fresh and reveals a serious mineral character and length. Very persistent and pretty Burgundian. Drink: 2016-2026.”  92 Pts – Wine Spectator
