2015 Feather Cabernet – winemaker Randy Dunn

Napa Valley vintner, Randy Dunn, brings his artistry and expertise to Washington State to produce small quantities of Cabernet Sauvignon from the Columbia Valley’s finest vineyards. His reputation for producing world-class Cabernet spans more than four decades. After making wines at Caymus from 1975-1985, Randy established Dunn Vineyards on Howell Mountain where he continues to craft distinctive wines of high acclaim.
The 2015 Feather is a vibrant, dynamic wine that possesses deep crimson color, supple tannins and balanced acidity. Expressive aromas and flavors of dried Bing cherries and bittersweet chocolate are complemented by hints of red pepper and thyme that gain focus on the mid-palate and add appeal to the wine’s long, layered finish.

2015 Chester-Kidder Red Wine – winemaker Gilles Nicault
60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Syrah, 15% Petit Verdot | 14.90% Alc
Allen Shoup named this wine in honor of his mother, Elizabeth Chester, and his grandmother, Maggie Kidder. He selected Long Shadows’ director of winemaking and viticulture, Gilles Nicault, to craft this New World blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and other classic Bordeaux varieties.
Deep and dark in color with an intensely aromatic profile of blackberry jam, sweet spice, dark chocolate and hints of earth. Dark cherry and subtle oak flavors integrate nicely to create an enticing layer that adds complexity and depth. Its firm structure, yet refined texture, balances well with a vibrancy that extends throughout a lengthy finish.
2015 Pedestal Merlot – winemaker Michel Rolland
75% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Petit Verdot | 14.80% Alc
The 2015 Pedestal offers vibrant aromas of black cherry and ripe blackberries with accents of vanilla and freshly roasted coffee. Expressive and lively on entry, with a richly textured mid-palate and layers of huckleberry, bittersweet chocolate and oak spice that stretch across a lengthy finish.

2015 Pirouette Red Wine – winemaker Philippe Melka
65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Merlot, 11% Petit Verdot, 3% Malbec | 15.10% Alc
Philippe Melka, named one of the top nine winemakers in the world by Robert Parker, used small lots from Washington State’s finest vineyards to craft this enticing red blend.
The deeply colored 2015 Pirouette is a vibrant, expressive wine offering intense aromatics and focused flavors of blackberry, dark chocolate, ripe cherry and hints of toasted spice. Its generous richness, volume and broad, dusty tannins are woven together with a refined backbone that provides layers of delicious complexity across an extended finish.

John Duval, formerly of Australia’s iconic Penfolds Grange, chose the Columbia Valley as his “Sequel” for the continuation of his life’s work with Syrah.
Deeply concentrated with vibrant aromas and flavors of dark cherries, wild blackberries, smoked meats and spicy oak. A rich layer of silky tannins coat the palate without overshadowing the wine’s bright and lively character.

2015 Saggi Red Wine – inspired by winemakers Ambrogio & Giovanni Folonari
62% Sangiovese, 28% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Syrah | 15.20% Alc
Among Tuscany’s oldest and most prestigious wine families, Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari teamed with Allen Shoup to produce a wine that showcases Washington state’s terroir with plenty of Italian character. Saggi (meaning “wisdom”) is a blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah.
A striking, brilliant garnet-colored wine with ripe red cherries, fresh fig and Grenadine aromas and flavors wrapped around a core of bright fruit and integrated layers of sweek oak. Lush and generous on the entry, the mid-palate is rich and vibrant before gaining focus on a finish that shines with polished, refined tannins and great balance.
