Joh. Jos. Prüm 2013 Graacher Himmelreich Riesling (375mL)
100% Riesling | Alc: 7.5% Rich and Smooth, Sweet
Mosel-Saar-Ruwer, Germany

Winemaker’s notes:
Prüm 2013 Graacher Himmelreich’s typically poised and mineral laden nose precedes a palate of startling clarity; plum, red currant, a touch of blackcurrant leaf – there is really very little in the way of dried fruit characteristics. The finish is dense and laden with chewy extract, a touch of wild herb and a mineral earthy character adding a satisfying sense of grounded-ness. A large part of the grapes here were golden and shriveled, picked just at the start of the onset of Botrytis. Great length and persistence without force. Bravo.

Critical Acclaim:
“Very pale in color, the 8% alcohol 2013 Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Auslese offers an extremely pure and flinty aroma of wet stones, white fruits, green apples and green leaves. Less sweet and with more finesse and delicacy then the Zeltinger Sonnenuhr Auslese, this is an elegant and light-footed, leaner style of Auslese and a great terroir reflection of the Himmelreich cru. Very stimulating even (or because) it was harvested just ripe. Drink: 2020-2040.” 94 Pts -The Wine Advocate
