Critical Acclaim:
“The 2010 Chianti Classico Riserva is host to a beautiful mix of black mineral, fruit, dried mint and eucalyptus. The wine shows elegant evolution in the glass and backs it up with dry, polished tannins. This is a stunning effort available at a reasonable price. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2028”  93 Pts – The Wine Advocate

“This gorgeous Chianti Classico has multifaceted aromas of blue flower, red berry, black plum, spice and a whiff of leather. The structured, juicy palate offers a core of ripe black cherry accented by cinnamon-spice and a touch of mocha alongside firm, polished tannins. It has both structure and finesse and should age beautifully. Drink 2015–2022”  93 pts – Wine Enthusiast

“Classicists, on the other hand, will flip out over the 2010 Chianti Classico Riserva. Black cherry, plum, smoke and menthol notes all jump out of the glass. The 2010 is translucent yet also rich, powerful and impeccably balanced. Ideally readers should cellar the 2010 for at least a few years, but that is going to be difficult considering how beautiful the wine is today.”  92+ pts – Vinous | Antonio Galloni

“A solid wine with beautifully integrated tannins and juicy fruit. Lovely austerity and all in balance. A real beauty. Drink or hold”  92 pts – James Suckling

“Firm and juicy, exhibiting raspberry, cherry, black tea and tobacco flavors. An earthy element emerges on the long and grippy finish. Drink now through 2022.”  90 pts – Wine Spectator
