Domaine La Garrigue 2017 Cotes Du Rhone Cuvee Romaine
50% Grenache, 45% Syrah, 5% Mourvedre | Alc: 14.5% – Smooth and Supple
Cotes du Rhone, Rhone, France

Winemaker’s notes:
Garrigue Cuvée Romaine is a blend made from the more precocious tanks at Domaine la Garrigue. As such, it is in fact a declassified Vacqueyras not needing additional time in concrete. Therefore it can be viewed as a really easy-going Vacqueyras or an amazingly complex and serious Côtes-duRhône.

Critical Acclaim:
“The 2017 Côtes du Rhône Cuvée Romaine is another custom cuvée from Importer Eric Solomon that’s all from declassified Vacqueyras vines. A blend of 50% Grenache, 45% Syrah, and the rest Cinsault, it reveals a deep ruby/plum color as well as a great nose of black raspberries, black cherries, olive tapenade, ground pepper, and earth. It’s a fleshy, full-bodied, beautifully pure, rounded effort that’s again a smoking value.” 92 Pts – Jeb Dunnuck
