Château Bizard 2017 Montagne de Raucoule
50% Grenache, 50% Syrah | Alc: 14.5%
Grignan-les-Adhémar, Rhône Valley, France

Winemaker’s notes:
Château Bizard 2017 Montagne de Raucoule is a deep magenta red colour with purple glints. Aromatic and rich, expresses scents of black fruits – blackberry, sloe, cherry – underscored by notes of liquorice. Retro-olfaction of ripe fruits and spices. Well-structured, fina and coated tannins. A very pleasant wine, cajoling and mellow.
Perfect with veal shank in a crust, guinea fowl with cabbage, tartare of tuna, salmon with a red wine sauce. Amazing with spicy cuisine : Indian curry, Moroccan tagine and Sichuan dishes.

Critical Acclaim:
“Gorgeous violet and lavender perfumes mingle into blueberry and cassis in this lavishly textured 50–50 blend of Grenache and Syrah. It’s full bodied and juicy but balanced too, etched by fresh red-currant acidity and fine, soft tannins. A whisper of licorice lingers on the finish. Lovely in its youth, this should drink well through 2028.” 92 pts – Wine Enthusiast Editors’ Choice
