Champagne Henriot Brut Souverain NV
60% Pinot Noir, 40% Chardonnay | Alc: 12% – Light & Crisp, Effervescent
Champagne, France

Winemaker’s notes:
Henriot Brut Souverain is a beautiful gold color with bubbles that are persistent, fine and regular. The nose is pleasant, made very elegant by the large amount of Chardonnay. The Brut Souverain is sharp, well balanced and harmonious on the palate.

Critical Acclaim:
“A beautifully fine mousse indicates the class of this finely crafted wine. It has some weight, flavors of green apples, with hints of fresh apricots. There is extreme freshness here, the style dry but rich. This bottling tastes young and would be worth aging six months.”  94 Pts – Wine Enthusiast

“Shows lovely balance, with a lacy texture and a fine frame of acidity enlivening the rich flavors of toasted brioche, baked plum, graphite, crystallized honey and ground anise. Offers a smoky, lingering finish. Drink now through 2020”  92 Pts – Wine Spectator

“Featuring, as usual for this cuvee, a relatively high proportion of Chardonnay; no Meunier; and 15-20% reserve wine, Henriot’s NV Brut Souverain offers a delightfully crunchy-yet-creamy, slaw-like amalgam of fresh apple, celery root, grapefruit and almond, to which a whiff of elder flower adds aromatic allure. The lush mid-palate takes a faintly oily turn even as tart citricity wells up with greater impact, leading to a luscious finish that irresistibly urges one take the next sip. I fancy this being best enjoyed over the coming year.”  90 Pts – Wine Advocate
