Cadaretta 2014 Windthrow Reserve
76% Syrah, 15% Mourvedre, 9% Grenache | Alc: 14.4%
Columbia Valley, Washington

Winemaker’s notes:
Cadaretta 2014 Windthrow Reserve is a reserve-quality Rhone-varietal blend made from the top barrels of the vintage. In 2014, we selected only the very best in our cellar, the finished wine was bottled unfined. Our Windthrow 2014 expresses a perfumed nose of violets, boysenberry, vanilla, anise and tobacco leaf. Soft mouthfeel with more boysenberry, violet, anise, black cherry, and vanilla has an added venison note. Soft and delicate in nature.

Critical Acclaim:
“The more limited cuvee is the 2014 Windthrow Reserve, and it’s a blend of 76% Syrah, 15% Mourvèdre and 9% Grenache in 2014. It has more elegance and polish than the Columbia Valley Syrah and shows loads of blueberry, leafy herbs, violets and peppery aromas and flavors. Medium to full-bodied, with building tannin, it’s still tight and backward, so give it a year in bottle.” 91+ Pts – Jeb Dunnuck, The Wine Advocate

“This wine is 76% Syrah, 15% Mourvèdre and 9% Grenache. Aromas of black fruit, bittersweet chocolate, coffee, raw meat and spice are followed by smooth black-coffee flavors. It lingers on the finish.” 90 Pts – Wine Enthusiast
