Description

Argyle 2014 Brut Blanc de Blancs Spirit Hill Vineyard
100% Chardonnay | Alc: 12.5%
Willamette Valley, Oregon

Winemaker’s notes:
Argyle 2014 Brut Blanc de Blancs – at 750 feet in elevation, north-facing and windy, the Chardonnay from Spirit Hill Vineyard provides beautifully focused acidity and tension. The freshness of Eola-Amity Hills Chardonnay shines through with lemon and grapefruit wound up with tight malic energy. Neutral oak barrel fermentation and aging builds upon its pronounced structure, bringing subtle creaminess woven into fine, salty mineral length.

Bio-dynamic!

Critical Acclaim:
“Citrus, hints of honey, jasmine and even a whisper of red fruit, showing good complexity. Attractive and characterful, will develop even further in bottle. Drinking Window 2019 – 2024.” 91 Pts – Decanter

“This sparkling chardonnay seems rich at first, with opulent scents of candied apple and toasted lees, and yet, on the palate, it skips along, fresh and bright, with a strident mousse, lemon-lime flavors and a toasty finish.” 91 Pts – Wine & Spirits

“Vibrant and fresh, with fresh lemon, wet stone and vanilla curd accents that finish on a steely note.” 90 Pts – Wine Spectator
