Shipping
- Tipsy Knitter | DDF Wines llc will ship on Mondays or Tuesdays via FedEx. Shipping rates vary by destination and weight, please contact us for a shipping quote. All shipping quotes include the cost of packaging materials, adult signature requirements, and replacement insurance.
Tipsy Knitter | DDF Wines llc offers free, limited, local delivery in the Seattle Capitol Hill and Central District areas as well as local pick up for those orders in Washington State.
Shipping Destination Restrictions –
State laws restrict or prevent shipping wine directly to consumers in some states. Deliveries can only be made to physical addresses. We cannot ship to Post Office boxes or APO/FPO addresses. As of March 2020 we can ship to the following states: Alaska, California, District of Columbia, New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon, Virginia, and Washington. Laws change all the time, please ask if you have a question!
Recipient Restrictions –
By placing an order for an alcoholic beverage through our website, you formally represent that you are at least 21 years of age and that the intended recipient of the shipment is at least 21 years of age. The recipient will be required to show identification that proves he or she is at least 21 years old and will be required to sign for the delivery. We strongly encourage you to ship to a business address as it improves the likelihood that an adult signature will be obtained on the first delivery attempt. Wine shipments will not be left at an address where a recipient is unavailable to provide the required adult signature. Numerous attempts may be required to deliver to a residential delivery address and carriers will not leave wine packages unattended regardless if you sign a release. We do not accept liability for any expense or loss resulting from failure to take delivery on the first attempt.
Shipments and Inclement Weather –
During peak summer and winter months extreme weather conditions can result in shipping delays. Tipsy Knitter Wines offers only expedited shipping to the Midwest or East Coast May 15th-September 15th and the month of January weather dependent. Please contact us about storing your order until a more suitable time to ship.
Sales Tax –
Washington State sales tax applies to orders being shipped, picked-up or delivered to an address in Washington State.
Returns –
Tipsy Knitter Wines are unable to accept returns on alcohol purchases.
If you receive your wine and feel that it has been damaged during shipment, please email us at tipsyknitterwines@gmail.com within (3) days of receiving the shipment. Please include a description of the damages with a picture; upon confirmation we will arrange for the damaged products to be replaced or refunded if the item is no longer available.
Security and Privacy –
We will never give away, lease, sell or otherwise disclose your personal information. For your protection we do not store your credit card information.
Credit Card Convenience Fee – A 3 percent convenience fee will be assessed on all credit card and Paypal direct transactions over $500. No transaction fee will be assessed on payments made by cash or check.
